Kearns Zone D 5-Million-Gallon Water Tank
Project Overview
For the Kearns Zone D 5 Million Gallon Water Tank project, the Kearns Improvement District replaced two aging 3-MG tanks with one modern 5-MG concrete reservoir. Crews removed the old structures, prepared the site, and built a post-tensioned tank that meets current seismic and sanitary standards. A new 30-inch transmission pipeline now links the facility to the regional grid beneath 5400 South, an established UDOT corridor. The upgrade lifts storage capacity by 65 percent and supports fast-growing neighborhoods in Kearns, West Valley City, and West Jordan.
